We’re seeking a Software Engineer to join our dedicated tech team in either Pittsburgh or Philadelphia.
About the Position
As a Harvie Software Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of building and maintaining the technology that drives our independent food delivery platform. Working closely with our product team, member relations team, operations team and support engineers, you’ll use modern technologies to refine existing systems and shape new features. Responsibilities
- Design & Develop: Plan and build software solutions aligned with our business needs.
- Maintain & Enhance: Ensure current systems stay robust and efficient through ongoing updates and fixes.
- Test & Automate: Write and manage automated tests to guarantee quality and reliability.
- DevOps & Deployment: Help build and deploy infrastructure using Docker, GitLab CI/CD, and AWS.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with product, operations, and member relations to ensure technology meets all stakeholders’ needs.
- Champion Best Practices: Promote software quality, scalability, and performance across the engineering team.
Requirements
- Tech Stack: Proficiency with PHP7 (Symfony), JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS, MySQL, Redis, Docker, Heroku, AWS, and Cypress.
- DevOps Experience: Familiarity with cloud deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization.
- 5+ Years Experience: Comfortable juggling multiple priorities with minimal oversight.
- Strong Communicator: Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent work experience) in Computer Science or related field.
Important Details
- Position: Full-time, ~40 hours/week, some weekend coverage as needed.
