Bourbon Shrub Cocktail
Serves: 1
Ingredients
For the cocktail:
2 oz bourbon
1 oz apple shrub
3-4 dashes bitters
For the shrub:
1 ¼ cups apple of choice, chopped
Instructions
To make the shrub, add apples, vinegar, and sugar to a jar. Refrigerate and let sit for three days, then strain apples out of the liquid. To store, place liquid (shrub) in a airtight container in the fridge.
For the cocktail, fill a rocks glass with ice and add bourbon, apple shrub, and bitters. Stir, then top with ginger soda and garnish with apple slices.*
*If you’d like a stronger, old-fashioned-like cocktail, leave the ginger soda out of the drink.
