New this week: Canary melons! Canary melons are attractive yellow fruits with a distinctively sweet flavor and juicy white flesh. They are named for their bright yellow color, which resembles that of a canary. Canary melons are a type of winter melon that can be stored for quite a long time. A few years ago, we stored one long enough to eat it on Christmas! Best stored at 59F (a basement works well).
This is the first week of "Fall Farm Stand" Although CSA season is officially over, we still have quite a wide variety of produce available, so help yourself! We expect to be able to continue offering "Fall Farm Stand" every Tuesday through the end of October.
