Spring is all about growth, and there's a lot of that happening over here. All of our fruit trees are bearing, the sheep at Local Lands are all pregnant, and theres so much new items for the CSA! What I love about the CSA is that we can know how much food is sold before we harvest it so no food goes to waste, isn't that great! For some of the new items, I'll give it a week test just to see if anyone is interested before I roll it out on the list. If you want to ensure that you have access to all of our new items try to pay attention to the emails so you can snatch it up before it's all gone. We've got some new garlic, sweet peas and scallions this week. Then next week we'll have some broccoli, so be on the lookout!
We also have a new intern at the farm so even though work has slowed down just a bit, it's always so valuable to share this information and experience with someone new. We invest in human beings and always get the best returns. You may see him when you come by to pick up your box! We're very selective about interns since our program is such an intense and inclusive program. For those interested in just volunteering in the future, we'll be opening those opportunities when we open up the new farm stand.
I hope everyone is having a great week! If you've read down to this paragraph then I appreciate you and look forward to the opportunity to serve you and your family!
