Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to provide you with an update regarding your veggie subscriptions which are starting next week!
1. The first veggie deliveries/pick-ups will be on Thursday June 18th. If you've only signed up for a bi-weekly veggie box, its possible your first delivery or pick-up will be the following Thursday, June 25th. You should have received a confirmation email when you initially purchased a subscription which has the date of your first delivery. If you are having trouble finding that email, you can go to Harvie.Farm and log in to your account to check your subscription schedule.
2. For people who signed up for Saturday pick-ups in Centretown, your first pick-up will be on Saturday June 20. Again, if you've signed up for a bi-weekly subscription, it is possible your first pick-up is not until the following Saturday, June 27th. Please check your confirmation email or sign in to your account on at Harvie.Farm.
3. Insulated Totes
To avoid packaging waste, I invested in re-usable, insulated grocery totes for all veggie deliveries and pick-ups. I have two per customer, plus some extra. For home delivery folks: on delivery day, you are expected leave the bag from your previous delivery at your front door so that I can pick it up when I drop off your veggies. For those of you who are picking up your shares, you are expected return the bag from the previous week's pick-up. If you don't return the insulated tote after a grace-period of 3 weeks, you will be charged $20 for the bag.
I also want to ensure you that all bags will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between each delivery so as to ensure they are not a vector for viral transmission or food-borne illness.
4. Veggie Pick-Ups
If you signed up for Thursday on-farm pick-up, I'll have a table set up with your veggie shares pre-packed into the insulated totes. Just a reminder that the address is 2391 Pepin Court.
For Saturday picker-uppers, I am still working on finalizing exact address location, but it will be in Centretown/Golden Triangle. I will share details very soon.
