New product alert! Potatoes!
I reached out to some of the folks at the Just Food Farm to see who could supply some fresh organic potatoes, and something really great happened. The Gloucester Emergency Food Cupboard (a food bank serving the Gloucester area) had a plot of potatoes growing this season and it turns out they have too many potatoes! I asked the director, Erin, if I could buy some, but she refused to accept my money. She is just giving them to me...but I would still like to support/give back to the Gloucester Emergency Food Cupboard somehow. So, if you're so inclined, please check out their website gefc.ca, and follow them on social media to find ways you might be able to help. They are looking for volunteers to help do a big fall cleanup in their garden plot next weekend. The are also looking for someone to help clean up /vacuum the food bank after distributing food boxes on Wednesday afternoons.
