Whew, what a warm week! With this warm weather we say good by to some of our spring favorites and welcome more summer crops. When it is this hot we spend lots of time watering!
Along with the harvesting and planting there has been lots of weeding! The weeds are really growing and we have been doing out best keep up with them. At times it seems like the weeds grow faster that the crops. :)
New potatoes are one of the options for this week. Why are they called new potatoes? They are dug when the plants are still green, making for a delicious tender potato. Make sure you store the new potatoes in the fridge in a bag or container. They are great boiled, roasted or cooked on the grill. No need to peel these, the skins are thin & tender. Enjoy!
Have a great week!
