Greetings Farm Fans!
Thanks to a massive Verizon and Spectrum outage, I am posting this update from my cell phone piggy-backing on wifi at a business in town.
My hubby volunteered to help make a list of all the available produce and he needed to take a break or two because his wrist got sore! We have a ton of produce this week including new offerings from Salisha, Desert Farming, and 2 Ravens!
Also - we are so pleased to announce that we have a grant program that was selected for funding that will enable us to distribute local produce to 200 food insecure families in Churchill County. I believe that one of the factors that contributed to our selection was our success with our subscription farm share program. So, thanks to all of you, we get to make a difference for families in need.
Also - our executive director (that's me) just got appointed to the governor's council on food security. It's been an exciting week!
