Hey there Farm Fans!
First off - I just typed the word "September" and it made me a little giddy!
Second - I am beat! I bet you are also feeling a little spent. It's been a long, hot, smoky summer--and just moving around (and moving boxes of local produce) takes a whole lot of energy. So - I am going to keep it super short and sweet with the update today!
Our breads for the week are: Banana Nut, Banana Chocolate Chip, and Good ol Banana
Our Coffee for the week is: Telegraph Blend - for more specific info about this coffee, check out last week's Farm Happenings
There is still time to get your tickets for the Cantaloupe Festival - come visit Fallon and celebrate our favorite melon! Tickets are available HERE
Special Produce this week
Pioneer Farms: Baby Bear Pumpkins
Lattin Farms: Delicata Squash, Acorn & Carnival Squash, Tomatillos, Stripetti Squash, and Sugar Pie Pumpkins
Desert Farming Initiative: Salad Turnips!!!
The Egg Situation
Our egg supply has been severely diminished in the past few weeks. I do not expect that this is going to be resolved anytime soon. The ladies haven't been laying with the heat and the smoke AND I am down a producer entirely. Every delivery, I have about half of the stock that I need to fill all of our subscriptions. I have been TRYING to shuffle around who gets eggs and who gets shorted--I don't want any individual subscriber to miss out ALL the time. That being said, this is a fairly arbitrary process and I will make mistakes. I am ALWAYS happy to credit you for missed eggs, so please DO NOT HESITATE to let me know if you missed out on a dozen.
There are two options for all of our egg subscribers: 1. Take the gamble--anytime we short you, just shoot me a message and we will issue a credit to your account. 2. Cancel your egg subscription--we will refund you any deposit for which you have not received eggs.
Please let me know if you want to cancel your egg shares!
Hope you all have a great weekend and as always - Thank you for your support of Nevada Farmers!
