Updates in the Food Safety Act has hit home for Nina the dog who is longer allowed to romp freely in the orchards... one would hope that there are bigger safety issues that Washington needs to address than farm dogs patrolling their territory. As a result there will be more deer, coyotes, racoons, squirrels and so on so we are not quite sure how this little rule is helping the safety of your food ... and of course there is no fence invented yet to stop bird poop! One funny official note on the subject (yes in the documents we were provided along with color photos)- apparently there are exemptions for service animals on u-pick operations which includes service ponies! Yes - as you can tell Nina finds this personally insulting...
