Summer is here! We don't want to jinx it, but it seems that the sunshine and hot weather has rolled in right with the solstice. As much as we've been loving the cooler work days and the heat-sensitive crops have been thriving, there's no other way to put it: your farmers are relieved. Yes, we do plant plenty of different veggies, and some of them have been thriving (like the bok choy and radishes). But the reality is that following this year's June-uary the first crop of carrots and summer squash are going to take an extra week or two to start rolling in. So we thank you for your patience, and for appreciating the abundance of green leafy veggies at this time of year.
PS- Just a reminder that this is the final week of Spring shares. Main season shares (with the smaller size (Starter Share) or larger size (Farm share)), as well as egg shares start next week.
For our Squamish members, there's still time to add on a flower subscription as well, and get a Squamish-grown bouquet every 2nd week from our friends at Valley Buds Flower Farm.
