Welcome to May!
Boy is this spring taking its time coming. Thank goodness for the last week of nice weather, the pastures are finally starting to wake up and bits of green are showing amongst the browns. The bit of rain we are to get this week should help get things going, and hopefully in short order we'll have all the flocks out on grass!
Household Health
For those not following on Instagram or Facebook we recommend that you do follow along, we post regularly about local food deals and events. We also talk a lot about what is going on in our day-to-day with farm life, family, and the challenge of living in the city and farming in the country. This last few weeks have been bad for health in our house. Marcus has had strep throat for nearly a month, and Sarah was hospitalized for 5 days with a severe throat infection. We are both on the mend, but it has made for some long days and stressed out hours. We are just happy Sarah is home, and doing much better.
Both of us have been tested for Covid-19 and are negative, and all the staff and helpers on the farm continue to be healthy. We owe a huge thanks to our friends, employees, and neighbours over the last few weeks. We have had to hunker down and it is their help that has kept our farm and our critters going. Much love.
Farm Stand Sales & Share Add-ons
The Farm Stand is open, and for our CSA members you can add your add-ons now. You have until 11:59 PM (23:59) to make your purchases for this week. Once again, egg supplies are limited and it is first come first served, though we do have a bounty of duck eggs.
