Happy Summer Solstice!
Happy longest day to everyone! The solstice marks the turning point in the year - from spring into summer. It also heralds the dry months of July, August, and September where the long slow rains of June are replaced by the sudden sharp deluges of thunderstorms. As a night owl Marcus is a big fan of the never ending twilight this time of year, but it does make for tired kiddos who like to stay awake with the sun.
Chef's Farmer Salad Share
We have loads of space free in our weekly salad share. You can order it as an add-on with your eggs. The greens are coming from our good friends at Grand Trunk Veggies.
Each week you get 4-5 ingredients for salad:
• Lettuce or mixed greens
• Garden favourites such as cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots & microgreens
• A fresh salad dressing every other weeks made by a local Chef
