Hellooooooo Summer Members!
Welcome to the first week of our 2021 Summer CSA. This is your first customization email of the season, and these are the emails you'll get weekly to let you know what's going to be in your share, what's available for extras, and what's happening on the farm. I recommend reading them thoroughly to best experience the CSA. In fact, I recommend reading all your emails, especially this week. There is lots to know about your share and picking it up, and everything you need to know is in your emails.
We've got a great season ahead of us. Quasi-drought aside, the vibe on the farm is so strong right now. We have an excellent team of people, working together to plant, grow, harvest and deliver your vegetables this summer - I couldn't be happier with how hard-working, kind, and attuned our team is now. And thus, the fields look great, a little more water would be nice, but the weeds haven't got us yet and the rows are mostly straight, which in farm world is all you can really ask for.
Highlights this week:
- Seedling sale!! We are late to the party on this we know, but we're trialing making organic seedlings, grown right on our farm available to our customers. This week you can have tomatoes, peppers, herbs and more delivered with your share. Get planting! Check out below for more information and the full list of items available.
- Extra Eggs! - We have had a tough time finding consistent, local eggs, so this year, we didn't offer an egg share. BUT we will have eggs available each week first come first serve. And are these the best eggs ever. Local, organic, and very humanely raised on the incomperable Apple Creek Farm, just a stone's throw from us in Bowdoinham, these eggs are the real deal and will elevate your omelets for sure! - Reminder again to check your emails. You'll be getting emails this coming weekend and/or week depending on your pick-up site with all the info you need to pick-up your share. Please be sure to read and set yourself a reminder so your delivery pick-up day is not as hectic as ours :)
