Eric, Iona, and I are off the farm enjoying some seriously needed family time away from the farm and the cold with my parents and brother. The last time we left the farm for more than a day or two was three years ago (when I was very pregnant), and it feels like a life time ago. Other than the pandemic and a baby, the major difference is the amazing team of folks that we have taking care of things while we are gone. I don't think three years ago I could have imagined having six people working with us through the winter or leaving the farm with so little stress, yet here we are - heading into a blizzard, not sure if we'll make it home quite on-time and we're (mostly) unworried because the Harvest Tide team has done an awesome job prepping the farm for the CSA this coming week, prepping the farm for the storm, and just generally keeping everything moving along smoothly. A HUGE thank you to Sarah, Jon, Juniper, Eli, Will, and Dave (in spirit :) for all that peace of mind.
Anyway, the internet here is blissfully spotty, so I will keep this short - enjoy your shares this week! We've got some delicious blueberry preserves headed your way in addition to deep winter veggies! We'll try to bring some sunshine home with us!
