Pickup hours are Thursday 3pm-7pm, Friday 11am-7pm or Saturday 9am-1pm.
If you pre-picked strawberries this week, and you picked more than were allotted to you in your share, please bring exact change to pay for them when you come to pick up your veggies. We will have a drop box set up to take payments. At this point, please don't pick more than what's listed on your slip to ensure that we have enough for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation!
In other farm happenings, this week we're planting eggplants, peppers, sweet potatoes and the 2nd succession of sweet corn. We'll be staking the cherry tomatoes in the Pick Your Own field and stringing up the peas so they have something to climb. We will also hopefully get to some weeding in the new strawberry patch.
CUSTOMIZING YOUR SHARE: This email includes the contents of your first customized farm share. Please check it out. We hope that the product preferences you chose (or you can update via this link going forward) have created an exciting box of local foods for you. And if there is something in your share that you don't want, you can always swap or add on to your share up until the cut off time each week. Just look for the customization link near your list of share contents in the email.
ADD ON SHARES: Please note that if you signed up for an add-on share those items are automatically added to your order. You don't need to choose or swap them. If you didn't sign up for an add on share, we do have a few dozen eggs, 2 types of bread, 2 types of coffee, gourmet mushrooms and cheddar cheese available to purchase as one-time "extras".
If this is your first week for pickups, please make sure that you have signed the Google Form stating that you have read the Food and Hygiene Safety Practices. You can find the link and the Practices in an email entitled "CSA Safety Document - MUST READ"
TALKS IN THE FIELDS: Every summer we host on-farm Talks in the Fields. Our Talks in the Fields committee is still working on their COVID-19 safety plan and at this point I don't know if these Talks will be in-person or online, but they are happening either way! Up-to-date information can be found at www.homefields.org/talks.
