Premium shares for Thursday, October 22nd may include the following produce: green beans, winter squash, radicchio, carrots, beets, cauliflower, arugula, bell peppers, salad mix, radishes & more!
Be advised that we are receiving locally-grown and organic red cabbage from Lancaster Farm Fresh Co-Op.
Carrots in shares can be expected to have their tops still on. While they look beautiful this way, the best way to store carrots in your refrigerator is to top them first. Otherwise, they may grow prematurely limp in the cold storage.
If you are curious, carrot tops can be used as well! The tops resemble parsley and so are great when made into pestos, or used as a garnish.
Winter squash for this week's distribution can be expected to be a variety of different kinds--This could mean spaghetti, butternut, or acorn squash.
