THANK YOU SO MUCH! Its our last week of the Spring CSA, can you believe it? I have loved getting to know you all over the past 14 weeks and can't wait to see you again this fall. I hope you feel healthier and more connected with your food than you did a few months ago.
For the folks that have been with us for a few seasons I hope you have felt the effort and investment we have put into improving our offerings this year. It was your belief in our lil farm that has allowed us to grow and thrive and as our farm family grows things are only going to get better and better. We have a few new things in the works for the Fall that we think you're going to love too.
Although the CSA season is over please don't forget about us over the summer! You can still purchase from us through the Harvie farm stand as well as at our physical farm stand inside West of Third (Thursdays 3-6). We will only be doing a limited number of deliveries during the hottest months (we're hoping for a new delivery vehicle soon but right now my old gal with her bench seat and broken AC can only handle so much).
Please consider filling out our survey here to let us know what you thought. Its a huge help in figuring out what you want to see in the future.
Side Notes:
We have a HUGE farm stand planned for this week. Please tell your friends, neighbors, dentist etc etc. We will have plenty of bi-color sweet corn, melons, squash, greens, potatoes and pretty much everything you need for the best 4th of July feast ever, even if its just a BBQ at home. Please come prepared with a bag and a bit of patience as we navigate the state distancing requirements. The ladies from Sweet Mac Shop will be joining us again with their french macaroons. Please buy them all before I stuff my face, thanks.
Keep an eye out for swag sales coming soon too! We commissioned a local artist for one of our new designs and can't wait to share it with you. All of our Spring CSA members will get a 10% off their purchases too!
Finally some fun updates about what's going on at our farm.
First, we recently purchased two large greenhouses! WOO! They were much needed for getting the nursery out of our spare bedroom as well as season extension so that ya'll can have your tomatoes a bit closer to year round. If you're interested in helping install them please give me a holler.
Secondly, we added a few cuties to our farm last weekend. My husband trekked out to New Mexico with our friends from Grafted Branch Farm to pick up a flock of Navajo Churro Sheep. I'll be sharing a bit more about their heritage as well as plenty of pictures soon.
Other than that we've been squeaking in work while we can before it gets way too hot. Summer is our "off" season here so its nice to get a bit of down time to take care of ourselves and clean my very neglected home. :/
Anyway, I hope you all have an amazing week. We will see you Thursday!!
