Week 1 of the Spring Season has arrived!

Posted on February 26th, 2021 by Dru Zucchino

Welcome to the TRACTOR CSA! And after a short spring tease full of sunshine, welcome back to reality! This recent weather had us thinking about all the summer crops to come--juicy heirloom tomatoes, crisp pears, buttery eggplants, velvet raspberries and firm blueberries bursting between our teeth...

These dreamy summer and fall flavors are months away, but to hold you over, we've got some great locally sourced greens, root veggies and other storage crops in this week's shares!

A few things to remember about your subscription:

  • Every share is completely customizable through Harvie's online interface. Shares are generated automatically based on your preferences, so be sure to let Harvie know what you'd like to see in your bag.
  • You can add and swap as many items to your share as you'd like. Add-ons are a great way to try something new or get your fix on seasonal items you just can't get enough of (looking at you, blueberries and apples)!
  • Be sure to make your picks and swaps before 8a on the Monday prior to delivery. This schedule helps the farmer know exactly what to harvest, so we can eliminate food waste in our communities!
  • If you are unable to pick-up your share, you may skip a week and receive two shares at your next pick up, reschedule, or simply do nothing, and let us build the bag to donate it to a local family in need!
  • We're all about fresh and flavor, so we often add heirloom and traditional varieties into the mix. If you see a funky fruit or vegetable, ask us about it!
  • Always let us know if something doesn't meet your expectations, and we will take care of you. Your satisfaction is integral to our local food system!
  • Refer a friend and earn $25 in extras!
  • As a TRACTOR CSA member, know that you are supporting a 501c3 Non Profit Organization dedicated to reconnecting people with agriculture for stronger communities. Check out our Clinical Referral Program and our Healthy Harvest Program to learn more about our relief programs.

Thank you for being a part of our local food system! We hope you enjoy the wonderful foods our mountain farms have to offer.
