Welcome, welcome, welcome to the beginning of a flavorful, sweet, spicy, fresh Summer Harvest Box Season! The next 12 weeks will be filled with the last vestiges of the Spring, like heat-tolerant varieties of romaine and butterhead lettuces and then as gracefully as the ebb and flow of daylight hours our Sweet Italian peppers, Sungold cherry tomatoes, tender green beans and the rich and long lasting crops of a North Carolina Summer will be producing in full force. The days are longer, our bodies and minds feel the push of the late sunsets and early sunrises, but the reward of a volunteer or neighbor tasting a vine ripened tomato, still warm from the sun is what we wait for all year long.
Thank you for being a part of this season with us! We will have 2 pickup locations on Wednesdays every week available to you. Log in to your Harvie account and adjust pick up each week (by Friday) to ensure that we pack and deliver your share to the best place for you.
These messages as well as 1 or 2 other weekly emails will tell you all about exciting events on the farm, volunteer opportunities, and local vendors we're proud to work with and support through your weekly add-on opportunities.
