First CSA share is in the books and it sure was a cold and rainy one, but the sun is out now and guess what's coming in next weeks share…STRAWBERRIES! So excited for this fruit as we will be making everything strawberry around here- strawberry lemonade, strawberry spinach salad, strawberry basil biscuits, the list goes on. So pull out your tried and true recipes for the coming weeks, because when they arrive it's in full force.
Here's an update on what's been happening on the farm over the past week -
- We now have 15 baby goats, no kidding (we will be selling them once they are weaned, so let us know if you need a lawn mower/hedge trimmer/garden eater)
- Tomato plants were planted in the field, sure hope you all love tomatoes (we planted tomatoes in the high tunnel last month)
- Weeds have arrived
- Did I mention weeds have arrived
- Peonies are getting close to blooming, we just can't wait for these beauties
