Famer Paul here... I just got home from 3 nights of camping with family and friends. It was so good to be in a beautiful and peaceful place away from the farm, to swim in cool water, to read a book, to sing by a campfire and enjoy the company of people I love! I'm thankful to the farm team - Jenn, Andrea and Hannah especially and the volunteers who chipped in to make it all run smoothly in my absence. I return feeling refreshed for the home stretch of cool, damp mornings, cover crop planting, farm clean up and heavy lifting (winter squash in our future!) in these final 8 weeks of CSA goodness!
We have sauerkraut! A fresh batch was just jarred up recently (and available as an extra for purchase with your share this week) and more kraut was prepared by the team which will be for sale in a few weeks time.
