Week 19 is packed with an abundance of delicious items, and a couple of new things for all of you to try! This week's apples will be Zestar! They’re a yummy, sweet-tart apple, great for snacks and for baking. They’re one of the more flavorful early apple varieties, you’re gonna love ‘em!
Another fun item- we’ll have plenty of organic lunchbox peppers for everyone! They’re a favorite of mine for a few reasons- first because they’re sweet and delicious. But also because three or four years ago I bought a bag of them from the grocery store and brought them into work to show Hector and Craig, our production managers. They thought I was a little crazy for buying peppers at the grocery store but we ended up using some of the seeds to plant a trial crop of these little flavorful peppers that year. They were a HUGE hit! and we’ve been growing them ever since! I’m so excited to share them with all of you. They have tons of flavor, so they’re good for snacking or for cooking.
This week we’ll also have corn, eggplant, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and a few fun add-on items, so don’t forget to check out the extras on Harvie.
