Week 25 has arrived!
This week’s apple is the empire, a small, deep-red, crisp and sweet apple. The Empire apple was developed in the 1940’s at Cornell University, and is a combination of Macintosh and Red Delicious. These apples are best if eaten very soon after you get them, and they are a tasty snack that I’m sure you’ll enjoy. You’ll also see an assortment of winter squash this week, along with spinach, arugula, beans, carrots, kohlrabi, sweet corn, beets, onions, and potatoes.
