August is one of the best months for produce in Alaska and we have so much, we're opening up weekly Farm Stand purchases again! These will be a little different than the winter setup. We are offering whole produce boxes for purchase, either a standard share or small share. Once you select the size you want, a box will be custom built for you based on your preferences, if you set them. If not, you'll get farmers choice! From there you can swap produce and add on extras like chocolate, honey, granola and barley products--all locally grown or made! You have until 5pm Tuesday to finalize your swaps and extras. Pickup is at our warehouse Thursdays between 3 and 5pm
We will be making the decision whether to offer this on week-to-week basis depending on how much produce our farmers have available. This is a great way to get fresh, local produce during the height of the season! And there are so many goodies right now! Including snap peas, zucchini, cauliflower, tomatoes, onions and cucumbers.
