We were super excited to get a call today about a very special crop that you don't see in Alaska very often....SWEET CORN! The folks at Fry Funny Farm, where we source most of our eggs from, also operate a very large garden, mostly to feed their own families. But they had a bumper crop of corn this year and gave us a call to see if we wanted to offer it up to our customers. And of course we said a big YES PLEASE! This is a very limited item, that we hope to get more of in the next week or two, but it will all depend on the weather.
Being born and raised in Alaska, I never had fresh sweet corn out of the field. I had some last year for the first time and it was amazing! So sweet, crisp and juicy. I gobbled it up raw, and plan to do the same this fall. We hope you all will enjoy this special treat too!
