The holiday season is fast approaching. We always know it's close when we get the turkeys in from Blood, Sweat and Food Farm in Homer. They dropped off 100 birds to us last week and our freezer is stuffed to the brim! (It doesn't help that we also got a whole cow in yesterday...so look for more beef products next week!) All of the animals at BSF are pasture-raised using regenerative agriculture techniques that restore, not deplete, the land's resources. As a result, their products are some of the healthiest you can find -- they're higher in protein, healthy fats, Omega-3s, trace nutrients and collagen than conventionally raised products. We can't wait to pop one in the oven on Thanksgiving!
