A late email 2 weeks in a row!!!? It must be July on a vegetable farm! Apologies for that!
I'll make it brief. I say it very yer, July-September, I think, might be the busiest time n the farm. July means harvesting all the summer crops (tomatoes, peppers are ALMOST there, salad as always) while, at the same time, beginning to seed fall crops and prep beds fr the fall plantings. We seeded tons of fall/winter carrots last week! It's a crazy thing to be thinking about November cabbage in July, but alas, we must! We're getting compost ordered, seeds organized, planned and planted, and attempting to sleep and rest sometimes, also :)
Summer CSA is winding down (how in the world did that happen!?), but the Fall share emails will begin arriving soon!
See you this weekend!
