We've gotten more timely rain on our farm this week. We received a little over 2 inches of rain overnight and the farm is muddy again during this harvest day. Luckily, we had just planted our final plantings of beans, sweet corn and carrots for the year the day before so each should get off to a good start!
This week both or cabbage and napa cabbage are ready for harvest. You probably have seen one or both kinds of cabbage in your farm shares this week. Our farm crew harvested all of our cabbage as cabbage has a tendency to crack when there's too much water present. They hauled a literal gator load of cabbage that will be available until they're gone. If you make sauerkraut, now is the time to get your bulk order in!
