Fall is approaching quickly and we have been busy (as usual) on the farm. The last big job we have on the farm is seeding and transplanting our fall and winter crops. In the past few weeks we’ve direct seeded radish, salad turnips and spinach and we’ve transplanted lettuce, green onions, broccoli and cabbage. All of these crops will find their way to our late fall and winter markets and our Winter CSA Share.
We’re also still very much in the peak of produce season and we have an absolutely enormous selection of produce available. It’s a lot of work but we also know that once our fall and winter crops are seeded the season will start to feel like it’s slowing down. That’s not to say our selection will diminish but rather that we’ll be able to focus solely on harvesting produce for your tables.
Speaking of Winter CSA Shares - we have a few spots open still. Our Winter CSA Share runs roughly every other week from late October until mid December and will include an mix of late fall crops like radish, spinach, salad turnips, lettuce and also include storage crops like beets, carrots, potatoes, onions and garlic.
