Whoever pulled some strings and got us back to Maine summer weather, many thanks! We still have lots of good heat loving stuff rolling out of the fields this week. Our heirloom silver cucumbers are exploding and asian eggplant has also found its stride. Fennel anyone? this Mediterranean favorite is great grilled or braised for those looking for something sweet and with less anise flavor. For those that love the anise freshness shave it right into your salad...
We will have organic Maine wild blueberries again this week to add to your box. These are raked by a family farm in Hartland and are amazing. This will probably be our last week to offer these berries.
