We have recently had an explosion of lady bugs working hard on the farm. This is my favorite time of year when green beans start coming in, the days are still hot, and the lake is finally warm enough to swim without going numb. The heat wave was a challenge on the farm with one of the hottest day landing on a harvest day. When we finished harvesting at 1pm it felt as if a heater was blowing on us. I was happy to be able to escape the heat in my air conditioned car in traverse city traffic. I hope our members able to enjoy this summer heat now that it is finally here.
