We are half way through our season now and after this super hot summer I am beginning to day dream about big sweaters, warm squash, and cooler days. This week we take our meat birds from alive to in your freezer. Carey and I process the birds ourselves on farm with the help of some super amazing friends. It's always a very tough week for us. Carey and I are both ex-vegetarians and as such we it's very important to us that we give thanks to the chickens when we take their life. Even though it is tough for us we want to be there and make sure the birds are treated right from the beginning of their life to the end.
