Delivery #1 here we come!
It feels great to be sending out veggies to our wonderful members at last! We have been planning and working for months already and we are so glad to be getting things on the road and headed to your plates this spring.
Spring is all about seeding, seedlings and transplanting for us. It's the time of year when we finally get the go-ahead to grow everything green but it's also a great challenge to wait long enough for it to be just dry enough to get into the gardens. Every spring is so different that it's inevitable to have a crop failure or two. We plan to have enough in the ground and the greenhouse to keep us covered when the weather dips down to freezing again (and then again) or the sun comes out and toasts the precious 2-day-old seedlings by the South facing wall of the greenhouse. There is never dull moment!
Thanks so much for being here and supporting our farm this year!! It feels great to have you all in this with us...navigating the weather, the pandemic and who knows what else will come our way! We are here, growing food, eating food, and doing what we can right alongside you.
This is our first season using the Harvie software, so if you come across something that seems odd or unexpected, please let us know! We are new at this system too!
