It's August?!! Where has the time gone?!
This week had some funky weather! It has been chilly and I've even noticed apples on our tree turning red! I don't know about everyone else, but I have definitely been feeling the fall vibes. The long range forecast shows some hot days so I'm not convinced that summer is gone altogether.
This week is the week when the beans start! Our first planting of beans didn't pan out...we had low germination, less than ideal weather immediately after planting and a few other factors that played into the demise of the first batch...but we've got them now! Yay!
Pictured above is a baby winter squash!! We removed the insect netting that was protecting the plants last week and we were happy to see lots of little ones out there! We are excited for these hearty delicious fruits and keeping our fingers crossed that they mature nicely.
Not much else to report other than that for now!
