Wow, September just flew by!!
We are fully into the fall now and some crops will start disappearing from the offerings as we have started pulling things out.
We will sneak in a couple more weeks with small quantities of some things but the general feel of the shares will be more "fallish" going forward.
Not much else is new on the farm other than our mindset and the jobs we make time for outside of harvesting/washing/deliveries. No more weeding at this time of the year, that's for sure!!!
Some big jobs that we will need to accomplish in October will include planting garlic, tearing out spent crops, pulling up fabric, moving tarps, tidying up irrigation etc. We are also planning to move greenhouse #2, the one that housed the cucumbers this year. It's currently in a spot close to the house which isn't ideal for a few reasons. We put it up rather quickly in our first year of production here and always intended on moving it when the plastic would need to be replaced. That time is now and we are just waiting for the foundation parts to arrive...should be any day now!
