Greetings Farm Fans!
What an exciting week it has been! We delivered our first "Fallon Farmers Care" community produce boxes to food insecure households in Churchill County this week - distributing over 1500 lbs of locally grown produce to families who don't regularly see many fresh fruits and vegetables in their regular diet. Between our subscription boxes and the new grant boxes we were able to sell over 3000 lbs of produce for Nevada farmers!
This is a meat week - so if you have a beef subscription, please be prepared to receive your beef box. If you are not a beef subscriber but are interested in trying some of the AMAZING Sanford Ranch beef, there are some one-time shares available as add-ons to your produce box. We also have Kennedy Ranch chickens back in stock!
It appears that we have made it through the harvest gap for cantaloupes at Lattin Farms! For you melon fans out there we have 4 different varieties of cantaloupes available this week: Ambrosia, Sarah's Choice, Sugar Cube, and Pioneer. The first Hearts of Gold melons are starting to be ready for harvest - its always exciting to see Fallon's famous melons at the farm stand.
