Greetings Farm Fans -
We are recovering from a successful farm conference! This last weekend, around 200 of us gathered to talk all things farming in Nevada. We learned about new crops trials, native seed, alpacas, hoop houses, soil health, and more! I particularly enjoyed the panel discussion on connecting farmers with bartenders in the growing craft cocktail world! And we heard from Ben Hartmann - an expert in applying lean business principles to farming! Our farm conference attendees were grateful for all of the local produce featured in the menus for the event! They extend that gratitude to our farm box subscribers who went without a box for a week to enable so much of the local produce to go to this event!
I am exhausted - but back at it! We hope that this week finds you rested and ready for more locally raised ingredients!
