Hello from Bountiful Meadows Organic Farm!
Greetings from the Timothy and Marie Fox Family! We are blessed with 8 children ranging in age from 13 years old down to our newest addition, 6 weeks old. Our farm consists of 80 Acres on a gentle slope facing east, looking over Seneca Lake, which is about 8 miles away as the crow flies. Keuka Lake is only one mile away but it is hidden behind hills and trees!
We have been farming this land for 16 years, having it certified organic for nine years now. We started growing organic vegetables four years ago, which we really enjoy. On the farm we have chickens, raise dairy heifers and also raise a few hogs during the summer. We have been selling our vegetables at our roadside stand and are excited to expand and partner with Angela Bedient Farms to provide you with FRESH, ORGANIC vegetables!
Our product is certified organic, but we also believe in going beyond and avoiding things like hydroponic-grown, grown in a water solution. How natural is that? And we believe in truly free-range hens with mobile coops, no chicken houses! We want our chickens to be able to scratch and peck the earth like hens were made to do!
We also believe a healthy, robust plant will not be attacked by insects and disease. So our focus is not on "-cides" (fungicides and insecticides), all which indicate death or killing, but on a living, functioning system from a soil teaming with life, to the protection of our lakes and streams, and the air we breathe!
