The weather wasn't quite as fall-ish as we were hoping for this week, but our fall crops all look really happy! This week you'll see the return of some of your favorites from the spring like radishes, scallions, and kale. We harvested loads more potatoes and winter squash this week thanks to our awesome crew. Usually we don't finish winter squash harvest until mid October, and right now we're almost finished! We planted spinach and more mustard greens this week as well. Stay tuned for more news from the farm and great recipes in our newsletter this weekend!

Farm Happenings for September 16, 2020
About the farm

Good Dog Farm is a 25-acre vegetable farm in Upperco, Maryland. We are a Certified Naturally Grown farm and use beyond organic growing practices. By farming with the health of our land and customers as our guide, we ensure you the highest quality and safest produce. We use sustainable growing practices to protect our soil and waterways. We supply our customers in the Baltimore and DC regions with delicious, nutritious food that’s always fresh.
We founded the farm in June of 2016. We grow vegetables year-round thanks to our two high tunnels. Our farm provides a diversity of crops for our Community Supported Agriculture program plus wholesale quantities of unique varieties of storage crops like potatoes, winter squash and sweet potatoes.
Our name comes from our shared love of our three dogs, who remind us to live simply and have fun every day.
