Farm Happenings for October 12, 2021

Here it is, the final week of the main season CSA for 2021. We don't have specific details yet, but we're planning to offer a couple opportunities to between now and the end of the year to get additional veggies through the Harvie Farm Stand. Watch your inbox for those. And you can still visit us at the Waupaca Farm Market on Saturdays until the end of October.

Sweet potatoes and parsnips are on the list again this week, though they are somewhat limited. We also have a small supply of arugula mesclun and - surprise - some shelling peas. These peas must be removed from their pods - a fun project for kids. Other highlights are unusually large harvests of green beans and cauliflower for this time of year. Maybe you'd like to put some in the freezer for later.

Reminder for those who get home delivery: It would be a big help if you could leave out a cooler, tote or box to transfer your veggies on Tuesday so we can take our wood crate and save an extra trip.
