Items Available: This week we are featuring organic arugula, escarole, red kale, romaine lettuce, radishes, and salad mix from our farm. Also, as a special treat, we are teaming with Meadow Lane Farm to offer you their wonderful pesticide-free asparagus. It only comes once a year for a limited time, so order more if you like.
Cooking note: Your radishes have good tops. Think of those tops as a spicy green. Cut them into small slivers and mix them with scrambled eggs, rice, or mashed potatoes.
Farm News: It has been a crazy spring as we adjusted to the novel coronavirus. We have refined our on-farm safety procedures to protect both customers and farmers. We have juggled delivery locations and increased the amount number of farm shares we sell. Since the Durham Farmers' Market and restaurants are closed, we are very grateful to those of you who have joined the farm share program. Our mission is to provide you with good food in a safe manner. Please make sure you follow our social distancing procedures when you pick up your shares.
This is our first year of instituting customer choice and allowing you to order extras. We hope this works out for you. As we get more experience, we may change the number or quantity of items we offer so you could buy more. Let us know if this something you would like.
