Farm Happenings for July 16, 2024

Posted on July 12th, 2024 by Judy Lessler

Hello everyone, I hope you are well after today's storm passed through this afternoon. Fortunately it was only rain in large quantities without affecting the farm, we worked at times in the rain which is very common for a farmer. We present the list of products for the next delivery, please choose the products you want to have in the week. Sweet peppers, Green beans, Cucumbers, Squash, Sungold tomatoes, Tomatoes, Tomatillos, Potatoes, Basil and Dill. Please don't forget to pick up your bag of vegetables at the usual places.

We attach a very easy but tasty recipe.

ROASTED PEPPERS.

Preheat broiler. Cook peppers until they are blackened and blistered, turning with tongs as needed. Then place in paper bag and roll the top down to seal. Allow the peppers to cool. When cooled, remove the skins and discard. Slice peppers open and dicard seeds. Store roasted peppers in olive to keep for up to 3 weeks. Minced garlic or fresh herbs can be added as well for extra flavor.

Happy weekend.

Best regards HCF., and all farmers., Judy, Yoli and Erasmo.
