Welcome to the Village Farm Vegetable Share!
April is just around the corner and represents both the beginning of the "new year" for our Vegetable Share program and also the start of our most bountiful time of the year at the farm. Many of our fan favorite crops such as tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, cucumbers, onions, and melons will be in season over the next few months meaning it is a great time to join the share!
Here are a few notes about the Vegetable Share program and the upcoming season (starting the week of April 7th):
1) Free Home Delivery and Discounted Harvest Green Resident Rate: Residents of Harvest Green receive free home delivery of their weekly shares in an insulated bag every Thursday, as well as a $5 discount which will be automatically applied with every share.
2) Two Vegetable Share Days:
Thursday between 2pm-4pm is the delivery window for Harvest Green Resident home delivery.
Tuesday is an option for non-residents to participate in the share, but will be pick-up only at the Farmhouse between 3pm-7pm (note: if you are a resident, you may also select the Tuesday option, but will not have your share delivered)
3) Year-round Vegetables: Both the Tuesday and Thursday shares are 52-week year-long shares. In either case, you may join at any time and pay by the week. You also have unlimited skips for weeks in which you do not wish to receive any vegetables.
4) Stay in Touch with Village Farm Happenings: While being a member of the Vegetable Share won't necessarily take you to the farm, we encourage you to come by and visit! We are open daily from dawn to dusk to visit, and we also have events, community programs, farm tours, and volunteer opportunities for you to attend.
