Hello Winter Members!
I'm preeeetty sick right now with the first virus in the farmhouse this cold season, so I'll keep this short and to the point.
For our pantry item this week, we have the beloved Dill Pickle Chips from Turtle Rock Farm. We've had a few people ask for these classics, so we got 'em. Enjoy them, or swap them out for extra veggies this week.
*Reminder, swapping closes down at 9PM on FRDIAY, so make your swaps before then :)**
We also have a fun new item, Crisp, fresh pea shoots from our friends at Morning Dew Farm in Newcastle. We don't grow micros and shoots on the farm (our greenhouse becomes our washpack in the winter and we don't have the space), but there guys do a great job, so we're bringing some spring to you. I'm already looking forward to loading these onto a sandwich and into my winter veggie thai wrap (see below).
For extras this week, we have more organic canned tomatoes, aged goat and sheep's milk cheese from Fuzzy Udder, and more organic eggs from Sparrow Farm!
And for a recipe recommendation this week, I encourage you to freshen up your winter veggie routine with a little peanut sauce. Just grate carrots and kohlrabi and last week's cabbage maybe some cubed roasted sweet potatoes, add a little grilled chicken or sauteed tofu, wrap it all up in a tortilla with this sauce (https://minimalistbaker.com/5-ingredient-peanut-sauce/) and you have a veggie full lunch routine ready to go. If you really want to kick it up, treat yourself to some cilantro or mint at the grocery store for some extra summery flavor!
Enjoy!
Ok back to bed,
Bethany
