Hello all,
Hope all is well with you and your families in this crazy world. The farm is keeping busy as always, much to do and never enough time! We have already started our planning for next year what to grow, how many row feet? Seed orders already.
Anyhow, we have had some good and some bad we had a heater fail in our sweet potato bin so they all got pre cooked and will no longer be available for the season. I apologize it was a very sad and disappointing discovery. On a more positive not we will still have access to an incredible supply of kale from Farmhouse Gardens, as well as Swiss chard and some Baby Bok Choi. It has been an incredible privilege to help a friend and have access to a surplus of greens for our CSA members! We also have some Pie Pumpkins, and parsnips (ours were almost a complete crop failure) from my friend Karen's Uncle whom asked if we could use them now that his market is shut down for the season. Grown organically just not certified I was happy to make sure no local product goes to waste.
Please note in December there will be a back to back pick up! December 12th & 19th, and January pick ups are the 9th & 23rd! December will also see us list delicious pesto one is Basil, one is a cilantro & dill mix all made from this years harvest, and we have our amazing hot sauce back!
Look forward to seeing you Saturday and Monday!
Cheers your farmer,
Jess
