For the most part, the season is going as expected. Here is a photo from the farm.

Pickled Green Beans
Fresh green beans, rinsed and trimmed 2lbs equal 4 pints
Clove garlic peeled - can add jalapeño pepper
Fresh sprigs of dill
Cook beans about 5 mins., drain
Pack cooked beans, garlic and dill into hot sterilized jars (run through dishwasher and keep hot)
Pour following brine over beans in jars and seal. Put into boiling water bath to cover jars and process for 10 minutes
Brine: 4 cups vinegar 4 cups Spring water
2 cups sugar 1/2 cup canning salt
Bring to boil and pour over beans in jars. Makes enough brine to make 7 pints. Enjoy!
