As we settle into Fall I find some time to do things other than farm. Last Sunday Henry (13) and Izzi (10) and I spent the night in Harpers Ferry and enjoyed an 8 mile hike on the Maryland Heights trail, in the rain. It was beautiful and I thoroughly enjoyed spending some time with my 2 youngest kids exploring a new place. Last Wednesday I went for a nice trail ride with my friend Beckie -first one in over a year! There is a saying that goes something like 'Do what you love and it won't feel like work.' I spend a lot of time at 'work' and fortunately it's what I love. But this time of year I am reminded of other loves besides farming and family.
This week check out our EXTRAS! Fruit, bread, ginger and....beautiful cards.
Local calendar artist Mary Magenta will be our guest on the last Main CSA day,
October 15th and her cards will be offered on Harvie.
Mary will show and share Her Herbals, from the latest art line. We are offering the very popular herbal greeting cards. They are a set of
6 different images 5"X7" with envelopes for $12. They are lovely!
Mary will also bring her upcycled sturdy feed and seed bags.
Come join us next Saturday, October 19th 4pm if you can. We would LOVE to see you. For those of you who end your CSA season with this share, Thank you. It's been a pleasure to grow for you. For Fall share folks we've got 6 more weeks of freshly harvested, Certified Organic veggies!
If you're already thinking about 2020 CSA sign up you don't have to do a thing. Your membership will auto renew in December. But don't worry if you want to opt out of auto renew it's a quick click of a button. No pressure. We want to make things as possible. If you have a small share this season and used all your produce easily please consider bumping up to a full share. We would love to increase the delicious, fresh produce in your bag. But no worries I will send you all an email detailing 2020 CSA at a future date. Keep an eye out for our 'refer a friend' program. If you love what we do and the food from Oak Spring please tell a friend!
Enjoy this beautiful fall weather.
Cheers,
Lisa
