Wondering what we've been up to and who's working with us this season?
Well here's Austin in the pack shed washing the last of last week's spinach. It's finished for now, too hot and too many other great crops coming in!
Austin is doing a great job learning a variety of tasks on the farm this season. He comes to us with a degree in graphic design. He loves to garden at home and is quite the home chef-turns out he's a man of many talents!
WE have kohlrabi & sugar snap peas this week... beautiful. And the field carrots and patty pan squash make their season's debut.
Cucumbers are coming in from the tunnel. Hooray for freshly picked cukes.
Check out a bunch of collards-they are perfect for veggie wraps and yummy braised with a roasted chicken.
Cilantro is back, it's perfect this week.
But what you really want to grab are GARLIC SCAPES...
Check out the blog on Garlic Scapes here!
Sorry Folks: Due to our not so hot strawberry crop this year we are cancelling Christmas (no just the fruit share this week... but it should be back next week with black raspberries and/or blueberries so just hang in there!
Storage Tips:
Remember to trim your tops from your roots. Keeps the roots crisp and firm.
No need to peel your carrots. Wash them with a veggie scrub brush. A little dirt is good for you.
Thank you, we appreciate you!
