Sometimes you have to just look on the bright side. It's true that summer seemed a bit shorter than we would have liked. Last winter hung on forever (remember that!) and then spring was well....winter like. Summer showed up finally but seems to have tucked under its shell again. But this doesn't have to be a sad time. Turn that frown upside down! The fall crops like carrots, broccoli, rutabaga, celeriac, leeks, beets, and turnips are looking great. We have three spinach sowings in for fall and they are happy too.
CHECK OUT THIS VIDEO with a fall like look around the farm this week.
So get out your soup ladles and get ready to roast. Fall might be here to stay.
